Internal Quality Assurance System

Commitment to Educational Excellence

UTAMED establishes an Internal Quality Assurance System (IACS) that complies with the standards and guidelines of the ACCUA IMPLANTA programme. Our goal is to offer quality teaching with a firm commitment to continuous improvement and excellence, meeting the needs and expectations of our students, teaching staff and other stakeholders.

We promote research as an essential part of our educational mission. Both teachers and students are encouraged to participate in research projects that not only enrich the teaching-learning process, but also contribute to improving the quality of our programme. This integration of research in the academic field ensures that our educational practices are updated and aligned with the highest quality standards.

Quality Policy

UTAMED's Quality Policy reflects our commitment to excellence in online education, ensuring that all academic programmes and processes are developed under strict quality standards. Through the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), we are dedicated to continuous improvement, evaluating and adjusting our practices to meet the needs of our students and the labour market. This policy not only seeks to provide high quality training, but also to foster an innovative and accessible learning environment, where both teachers and students actively contribute to the development of knowledge and research.

Structure of the IQAS

The structure of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) at UTAMED is organised in a way that facilitates the effective management of educational quality. This system includes a series of procedures and protocols that ensure the continuous evaluation of academic programmes, as well as the implementation of improvements based on the results obtained. Through centralised coordination, the IQAS allows for the smooth integration of assurance and improvement actions, ensuring that high quality standards are maintained in all aspects of online training.

The Strategic Quality Objectives derive from the UTAMED Strategic Plan, aligning with the key axes and principles on which the SP is based.

AXIS 1: Research and transfer at the service of society.

This axis focuses on research and knowledge transfer and its direct impact on the quality of the degrees.

Specific objective:

  • Integrate the results of relevant research into educational programmes to ensure that official qualifications reflect the latest advances and scientific knowledge.

AXIS 2: Inclusive training linked to the labour market.

This axis seeks to ensure that educational programmes are designed to be inclusive and respond to the needs of the labour market, which is fundamental for compliance with the requirements of Law 11/2023.

Specific objective:

  • Design study programmes that not only meet the quality standards required for verification, but also ensure the inclusion and employability of graduates.

AXIS 3: Contribution of value in Andalusia

This axis reinforces UTAMED's commitment to the region. Qualifications must demonstrate how they contribute to social and economic development in general and Andalusia in particular.

Specific objective:

  • Include in the verification report of each degree a section that highlights how the programme will contribute to regional development and the specific needs of Andalusia.

AXIS 4: Consolidation of the UTAMED model

Consolidation of the UTAMED model involves the implementation of efficient processes that guarantee quality. This axis covers the UTAMED basic quality objective, which is the design, implementation, development and certification of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS).

Specific objective:

  • Design and implement the IACS and submit it for certification according to the Accua Implanta Programme, ensuring that the internal quality management processes comply with the highest standards.

Quality and Process Manual

The Quality Manual and the associated processes constitute an integrated framework that operates in an interrelated manner. This manual establishes clear and practical guidelines to guarantee educational quality, ensuring that each procedure contributes to the general objectives of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS). Therefore, the implementation of continuous improvements is facilitated and a learning environment that responds to the needs of students and the labour market is promoted.

Degree improvement plan

The degree improvement plan at UTAMED is an essential component of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) that aims to identify and address areas of opportunity in our academic programmes. This plan is based on the continuous evaluation of learning outcomes, student feedback and the analysis of the work context.

Through this systematic approach, we seek to implement effective improvements that ensure the relevance and quality of our degrees, making sure that graduates are adequately prepared to face the challenges of the market and contribute significantly in their respective professional fields.
