La Universidad Online del Siglo XXI
The Atlantic-Mediterranean Technological University (UTAMED) is a digitally native higher education institution founded with the purpose of offering innovative, flexible training connected to the real challenges of society and the professional world. Its educational model integrates technology, academic excellence and a clear international focus, placing students at the centre of the learning process and striving for an open, accessible and future-oriented university.
This approach is also reflected in UTAMED’s physical presence, structured through two complementary campuses in the city of Málaga, designed as spaces that reinforce its academic and institutional identity. Both campuses reflect a contemporary university model that combines the digital dimension with genuine integration into the urban, social and technological ecosystem, facilitating connections between the university, innovation and society.
In this way, UTAMED consolidates a university project that transcends the virtual classroom to extend into the territory, knowledge and people. A university committed to the academic, professional and human development of its community, understanding higher education as a dynamic, connected and constantly evolving process.
Two campuses, two open and connected spaces
UTAMED University – Málaga TechPark
UTAMED’s main campus is located in Málaga TechPark, one of the leading innovation, technology and knowledge hubs in Southern Europe. It is a strategic location, but also a statement of intent, placing the university at the very heart of the technological and business ecosystem.
The building has been designed as a contemporary, flexible and open space, consistent with the values of innovation, collaboration and international projection that define UTAMED. The architectural project, developed by the firm Flow81 (internationally recognised for the UTAMED project), proposes clear and functional spaces while incorporating natural light, technology and sustainability. All of this is expressed through a sober and contemporary architectural language, befitting a 21st-century university.
Furthermore, it promotes the idea of the campus as a hub of knowledge, designed to connect university, research and business, and to reinforce UTAMED’s technological and European vocation.
Campus structure
UTAMED's headquarters, covering an area of 7,000 m², is organised into four floors designed to promote collaboration, innovation and connection between the university community and the business environment. Each level integrates functional spaces that combine academic, research and administrative activities, reflecting the technological and open essence of the university.
Designed as a place for connection and socialising. It houses the auditorium, exhibition areas, cafeteria and staff meeting spaces. It also includes collaborative work areas, a library and the boardroom and lecture hall.
This floor is dedicated to academic and experimental activities. It houses the Health Sciences, Audiovisual and Social Sciences laboratories, as well as workspaces for visiting lecturers and classrooms for specific training activities.
This floor houses the offices of the administration and services staff (PTGAS). It is home to the marketing, sales, IT, labour and techno-pedagogy teams, among other departments that provide operational and strategic support to the entire university.
The top floor is dedicated to the development of business projects arising from university activity and knowledge transfer. This space promotes collaboration between research and the business community.
Some of our facilities
Laboratories
The university has three laboratories specialising in Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Audiovisual Sciences, designed to offer a practical and applied learning environment. With up-to-date equipment and innovative methodologies, these laboratories bring students closer to the professional environments of the sector and encourage research and experimentation.
Health Sciences Laboratories
The Health Area laboratories are equipped with advanced technology for practical activities, clinical simulations and applied research projects in the fields of nutrition, psychology and health sciences. These are organised into four laboratories.
