Early Childhood Education Modules

The UTAMED Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, with a specialisation in ICT and Teaching Innovation, offers comprehensive training for those who wish to become early childhood teachers. Over the course of four academic years, divided into two semesters per year, three modules are taught in early childhood education, focusing on the cognitive, emotional and social development of children, as well as innovative teaching methodologies.

The curriculum combines theoretical and practical training, with core modules, compulsory modules, optional modules, external work experience in educational centres and a final degree project. Furthermore, the use of ICT in the classroom enables students to prepare for the current challenges of the educational environment by incorporating digital tools into the teaching-learning process.

Early Childhood Education Modules: Work Placements

The Early Childhood Education Degree includes compulsory external work placements at educational centres throughout the country, thanks to partnerships with numerous institutions. These practical placements, worth 44 ECTS credits, are carried out consecutively and in person during the last 3 years of the programme. They constitute one of the most important modules in the early childhood education degree programme, as they allow students to immerse themselves in a real teaching environment.

Through this experience, you will be able to apply your knowledge in the classroom, acquire teaching and methodological skills and strengthen your development as a future teacher. If you are interested in doing a placement at a specific institution, you can also suggest it, and our team will assess the feasibility of arranging a placement. Throughout the process, you will have the support and guidance of UTAMED to find the centre that best suits your profile and professional goals.

Early Childhood Education Modules: Final Degree Project

The FP is an opportunity for students to integrate and apply the knowledge acquired throughout the degree in a research or educational intervention project. This project, worth 6 ECTS credits, allows students to delve deeper into key modules covered in the early childhood education degree programme.
