Admission requirements for the Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence

University-educated students

  1. Have an official Bachelor's Degree granted by a Spanish university, or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which allows access to master's studies in the country of origin.
  3. Possess a university degree obtained outside the EHEA, equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree, without the need for homologation, provided that said qualification allows access to postgraduate studies in their country of origin. This type of access does not imply official approval or its validity for other purposes in the Spanish educational system.

If you have a foreign degree not homologated in Spain, the University will verify that you meet the requirements to access the master's degree. You must demonstrate that your degree allows you to study for a master's degree in your country of origin.

You can enroll in a master's degree if you only need the Final Degree Project and up to 9 ECTS to finish the degree, although you will not be able to obtain the master's degree until you complete the degree. Priority will be given to those who already have the official university degree.

Preferred access profile

The Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence is aimed at university graduates with a consolidated technical profile, preferably graduates, undergraduates or engineers in information and communications technology disciplines, such as: Undergraduate Degree in Computer Engineering, Undergraduate Degree in Science and Data Engineering, Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, Undergraduate Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering.

Likewise, graduates from other related branches -for example, different specialties in industrial engineering, aeronautical engineering, physical sciences with a focus on computer science, or business and technology studies- as long as they prove that they have acquired the necessary technical skills during their training.

Complementary training

The multidisciplinary nature of the Master's Degree in AI also allows the incorporation of students from other areas. In this case, they must take the following complementary training:

• Basics of artificial intelligence (6 ECTS, Semester 1)
• Mathematics and applied statistics (6 ECTS, Semester 1)

Those who can prove at least two years of professional experience directly linked to the contents and skills of this complementary training will be exempt from taking it.
