Legal Practice and Legal Representation subjects: Internships

The master’s degree includes 30 ECTS credits of compulsory in-person external internships. These take place in law firms, legal consultancies and other entities involved in professional practice. Internships offer you the chance to work on real cases and strengthen your skills in litigation, legal advice and management. You may complete your internship in law firms, prosecution offices, companies or firms specialising in different branches of law. Due to their essential educational role within the programme, these internships cannot be validated or waived.

If you are already employed, it is possible to carry out the internship at your current workplace, provided the tasks you perform during this period differ from your usual tasks and are directly related to the learning outcomes of the master’s degree. In such cases, an Internship Agreement would be signed between your company and UTAMED to ensure the proper development and supervision of the training process.

If you would prefer to gain a new professional experience, UTAMED can help you secure a placement. We have agreements with law firms and companies across most of Spain’s autonomous communities, giving you access to a broad network of leading organisations nationwide.
